About us

THANKS Housing has been working in the community on an informal basis for eight years, since 2005. It is only recently that we were contacted by the city and informed that we should be applying for community development funds and were informed about the process of how to go about “formally” applying for same. THANKS Housing & Development Corporation is a neighborhood/community development agency for people who are seeking affordable housing and/or information on quality of life issues such as transitioning into community life after having served time, seeking housing because of teen pregnancy or abuse, or any issue that is linked to giving people “a second chance” at the American Dream on some level – ownership or renting.

          We have a proven track record of assisting individuals get into housing and have also helped a number of them get moving in the right direction. We are focused on improving their positions in life beyond housing, inclusive help with their educational prospects, sponsoring numerous family-related activities and providing resources with family members who may be in some type of trouble. Our goal is to ultimately help these individuals reach the success that they are seeking.
